Choose the daily routine first

Will you pray sitting on the floor, on a seat or standing? How many people use the space together? These questions help decide the altar height and the clear area in front. Measure the idols and objects you intend to keep before drawing the shelves. A compact niche can be more comfortable than a larger unit if its proportions suit your routine.

Give small units a clear boundary

The ivory and oak-toned niche in our collection uses a frame and patterned side panels to define the prayer area. The navy cabinet takes another approach, allowing the altar to sit within a larger storage wall. Both ideas keep the design focused. Include a practical place for prayer books and everyday supplies so the altar does not become the only storage surface.

When the TV and pooja share a wall

A shared finish can make the composition look coordinated, but the two areas have different needs. Plan separate lighting and consider noise, privacy and the timing of use. Any lamps or incense require appropriate ventilation and clearance from combustible materials. Never close a cabinet around a burning lamp or incense. Resolve these details with the installer before construction.

A terrace pavilion is a building project

The glass pavilion image shows a possible relationship between prayer space and garden. It is not permission to add a room to any roof. A project professional needs to check structural loading, waterproofing, drainage, glazing, heat gain and applicable approvals. Planting and permanent seating also contribute weight.

Keep the decoration proportional

A carved red-stone direction can be beautiful in a dedicated room, while a small apartment may suit a plain backdrop and carefully chosen light. If Vastu preferences matter to your household, discuss them alongside the actual plan and family practice. An image alone cannot establish the orientation or suitability of a pooja location.

Gallery images illustrate design directions. Final products, dimensions, performance and execution costs need to be confirmed for your project.
